What is a EVI (Enhanced Vapor Injection) Compressor?
An EVI (Enhanced Vapor Injection) compressor is a type of compressor used in heat pump systems to improve efficiency, especially in low-temperature conditions. It utilizes an intermediate cooling and vapor injection process that enhances performance compared to standard compressors.

It uses a special economizer or sub cooling circuit to inject additional refrigerant vapor into the compressor at an intermediate pressure.

Key feaures of the Greenbro EGB / EVI Technology Heat Pumps
Superior Cold-Climate Performance: Traditional heat pumps struggle in very low temperatures, while EVI heat pumps operate efficiently in low ambient conditions. This makes them ideal for regions with harsh winters.
Higher Output Temperatures: EVI heat pumps can produce hot water up to 65°C, compared to 55-60°C for standard models. This makes them suitable for applications requiring higher water temperatures.
Enhanced Efficiency (COP): The EVI cycle injects additional vapor into the compression process, resulting in a higher Coefficient of Performance (COP). That means more heating output per unit of energy consumed, translating to lower running costs.
